Terms of Use

1. Agreement to terms

By using this website (nigoc.com) or the NIGOC counseling platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. NIGOC NINETECH PRIVATE LIMITED ("NIGOC", "we"), incorporated 25 October 2024 under the Companies Act 2013 (CIN U85500OD2024PTC047156), is the provider of the service.

2. Eligibility

The platform is intended for Indian students of class 9 onward and their parents / guardians. Users below 18 must use the service only with verifiable parental consent (we collect it at signup, per the privacy policy). The platform is not intended for users outside India.

3. Nature of service · not professional advice

The NIGOC agent provides counseling assistance, not legally binding professional advice. Career, college, and scholarship recommendations are the output of a large-language-model system trained on Indian education data — the agent is fallible. Final decisions on a student's education path rest with the student and their family. NIGOC will not be liable for outcomes resulting from following the agent's recommendations, except where Indian consumer law expressly imposes liability.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose under Indian law.
• Submit forged documents (mark-sheets, caste certificates, etc.).
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the LLM agent, scrape our knowledge base at scale, or extract personal data of other users.
• Use the platform to impersonate any other person.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the platform without an explicit written partnership agreement with NIGOC.

5. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. NIGOC may suspend accounts that show signs of compromise, abuse, or violation of Section 4 above.

6. Intellectual property

The NIGOC name, logo, agent architecture, knowledge-base curation, prompts and software are the intellectual property of NIGOC NINETECH PRIVATE LIMITED. The Statements of Purpose and essays a student drafts with the assistance of the agent remain the student's intellectual property; NIGOC claims no copyright over student-authored content.

7. Pricing & refunds

The closed-invite beta is provided free of charge. Future subscription pricing and any refund eligibility will be governed by our refund policy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, NIGOC's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the platform shall not exceed ₹2,500 or the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is higher. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify NIGOC against losses, expenses or damages arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the service, or your infringement of any third-party right while using the service.

10. Termination

You can close your account at any time via the in-app "Delete my account" flow. NIGOC may suspend or terminate your access if it reasonably concludes that you have violated these Terms.

11. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be adjudicated by the courts of Baleswar, Odisha, save where Indian consumer protection law or the DPDP Act expressly confers jurisdiction elsewhere.

12. Changes to terms

NIGOC may amend these Terms. Material changes will be notified to registered users via email + an in-app banner at least 14 days before they take effect.
